Help level the playing field by supporting our new onsite sports pitch project
We are raising funds for a new on-site sports pitch that will significantly enhance daily life at Saint Cecilia’s. This vital addition will not only help develop our elite athletes but also give all pupils more space to play, exercise and unwind safely at break times. It is a project that will enrich sport, wellbeing and community across the school. Thanks to match funding, every donation goes twice as far – and the sooner we reach our target, the sooner we can begin. With your support, we can make this vision a reality for our pupils.
We are excited to launch our fundraising appeal for a transformational redevelopment of our on-site sports pitch - a project that will benefit every pupil at Saint Cecilia’s for years to come.
Currently, students travel off-site to train due to the limitations of our tarmac pitch, losing valuable learning time and costing the school nearly £40,000 annually. The hard surface, awkward layout and central drainage channel also pose safety risks and limit meaningful play.
Our vision is to replace the outdated surface with a high-performance, all-weather MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) surface, creating a modern, inclusive space for PE, football, netball and ball boy/girl training. By squaring off the pitch area and installing a disabled lift, we will increase usable space by nearly 20%, support year-round sport and improve health, safety and accessibility for all.
This is more than just a pitch – it’s an investment in the wellbeing, confidence and development of our pupils. Planning permission is already in place, and your help will mean we can start building this fantastic facility sooner. Thanks to match funding, your gift will go twice as far.
Donate today, and take us one step closer to giving our pupils the space they need to grow, connect and compete.
