BREAKING BOUNDARIES

We need additional funds to offer our pupils the exceptional educational experience they deserve.

At Saint Cecilia’s we offer an enhanced education that goes beyond the basic state provision. Our ability to achieve this is reliant on the philanthropic support of not only our parents but also the broader community, major donors, foundations and trusts.

By delivering an outstanding, enjoyable education with a wealth of opportunities and inspiration, we empower our pupils and students to recognise and realise their full potential. Collectively investing in their future promotes equity in education, helps to bridge the gap between the independent and state school provision, and fosters a strong sense of connection and community.

We invite all parents and carers to contribute to our School Fund, and welcome donations from other individuals and organisations who wish to support our work.

Our School Fund

Donations to the Saint Cecilia's School Fund allows continued investment in our facilities and extra-curricular offer, as well as providing support for our families in need. Regular monthly gifts allow us to plan with confidence, accelerate project timelines and deliver improvements that benefit our students sooner. When many families donate, even modest gifts collectively make a powerful difference to the pace and impact of our school’s development programme.

Below you’ll find details of our current development projects and compassion support.

The Bethany Centre - We have recently completed the refurbishment of our Bethany (SEND) Centre, creating a number of sound-proof breakout rooms for individual and small group intervention sessions. A larger meeting room serves as an exam room for pupils who require extra time or fewer distractions. As well as academic support the teachers in the SEND department also help any pupil with stress management or challenges in their personal life.

The Refectory Extension - Built in partnership with Wandsworth Council, the Refectory Extension will increase floor space by 62%, provide additional seating for 128 pupils and provide a bright, welcoming space for assemblies, rehearsals and a wide range of school activities. Improving the flow of food service means pupils can make better use of their breaks, giving them more time to relax, reconnect and recharge.

Sports Pitch Redevelopment – We have plans to increase our onsite sports pitch space by 20% and fit a new high-performance, year-round sports surface. This will save approximately £40k a year on transport and facilities fees, reduce our carbon footprint and redeploy 39 school hours per pupil per year to teaching.

Science Laboratory Redevelopment – We plan to refurbish our existing designated Physics lab to become a comprehensive science lab for all sciences. This will support teaching, exploration and experimentation in our Biology, Chemistry and Physics GSCEs and A Levels.

Compassionate Support – We help our families in need with the cost of purchasing school shoes, uniform and PE kit, and by ensuring every child has a hot meal on school days. We also make sure all pupils have access to the right equipment and can enjoy the same enriching trips and opportunities, whatever their background.

Match Giving and Payroll Giving

Your contribution can go even further through employer matching programmes and payroll giving, both of which we warmly encourage and fully support. Saint Cecilia’s is currently registered with Benevity, a global platform for employee match giving, and we are also open to registering with other platforms your company may use.
